    Hi Brenda!
good autoportrait!:) I'm guessing that's you in the reflection there?
I like how this photo just gives us a hint of what the transportation hub will look like. We get the idea, but that's it. Very well seen!
The highlights on the man sitting on the bench are a bit disturbing, but that's easy to fix in pp if you have the raw file.

    Hi there,
beautiful photo as usual. Obvious combination of exposure though. Too obvious IMO. I would have taken less HDR and less sharpening because the version you present here is hardly digestible for the eyes. Beautiful compo, but a tad over the top in terms of pp. Just my 2 cents.

    Hello William,
Many mistakes here. You cut the top of your main subject. You cut the frame on the letr. You let the rope in the composition. The light on your subject is rather flat and unflattering.
I give you props for showing something that the majority of members on this site has never seen. And still, your note could be more descriptive...
However, from a photgraphic standpoint, I'm sure you could have done better.

This is very funny because I took the exact same picture!! And I will have to check the exif, bit i took mine either on the 20th or the 21st. The sky was filled with big fat clouds when I took it... So it's most likely the dau before you...anyways
You are looking east or south east i belive with this angle, so it makes me wonder if the color cast in the sky is natuural or added in pp? Especially that the color cast is not reflected on the grass.
Otherwise, it's a fine composition! Very simillar to what I did.

    Hello Leslie!
I like how the stooks of straw lead the eye toward the layers of fields in the distance. It contributes to a good flow in your image. You also seem to have a good light on the field. Nice patches of sunlight popping here and there on the field. I love it. It was well worth getting your camera out for this one.
However, I believe you went a bit over the top with the sky. It is sort of oppressing, which is not the general mood we get from the rest of the photo. So the top and the bottom do not seem to fit together and it makes the photo a little unbalanced and hard to "read".
    All the best,

Ou si encore ton point sur駘ev avait 騁 plus droite. Mais enfin, on peut pas tout contrler hein? M麥e chose pour la lumi鑽e: ici c'est pas id饌l, mais c'est pas ta faute!

ahah, we were there pretty much at the same time. I was in this region around the 13-15th of july, I believe. I can style smell what you smelled when you took this picture...;) we gotta suffer sometimes to get the shots we want huh? :)
The color of the earth at this place is what really struck me. I found it otherwordly and incredibly beautiful!
Interesting point of view that you chose there! It's a beautiful photo. The foreground is very interesting, full of contrasts. But I believe the top of your frame is not strong enough to balance it out. Maybe get the mountains in? they still would have contrasted with the foreground but they are strong enough to compete with you strong foreground. Anyway, just a thought.

This site was already dying 9 years ago when I first started. Then it picked up for a while and then it was bought by some company and the core members flew away. I never completely left because here, once in a while, you get meaningful critiques/feedbacks that really helps with your photography.
I really like this one. The lead-in is strong and makes a good anchor in your composition. The repetition of poles is a nice detail as well with the added benefit of nice reflections in the water. It also divides between the 2 strong color cast that you have. They don't look sooo washed out on my display. I can imagine the nice gradient of color top left on the full resolution file.
You must have been using filters for this one? at least a graduated ND? Maybe a polarizer or a neutral density stopper?
    cheers,
    Marc

I can relate to that shot. I remember the first time I visited Florence and the feeling I got while walking those streets is still very alive in me. I liked this city quite a bit. Much more than Roma or Venezia actually. There is something about those streets and those buildings that I found nowhere else in Italy.
And your shot brought it all up in an instant. your vintage point of view gives a glimpse of the labyrinth own the old town.
The colors of the duomo makes me think it was kinda wet. The haze in the distance does not give you the spectacular sky landscapist always look for but it creates a mood that really fits the compo. The duomo is such a strong anchor in your composition that you needed some balance in the distance and in my opinion the hazy horizon does balance it.
I could have guessed it was on film. You just can't reproduce that feel on digital.
    Cheers,

And it's a treat! Absolutely stunning portrait.I usually like to go at length in my critiques but here it's such a well executed, delicate portrait. Colors, focus and bokeh all work together. it's soft, delicate sophisticated.
A fine detail is the triangle shaped dead space top right corner formed by her hat. It helps your compo in my opinion.

The absolutely stunning sky is a beauty here! It lights up the whole picture and opens up your softly lit subject.

I just discovered your very impressive gallery. Many photos coming from very remote areas of the globe. It is very interesting!
That penguins in the middle is quite the character and he really makes that photo. The whole composition revolves around it. The red window frames are a nice touch.
It's hard to tell if it was feasible here, but I wonder if it was possible to give some breathing room to this group of penguins by including just a hint more foreground? and maybe less window, just to balance it out a little? Just wondering, hard to tell when you were not there. and I know what it is shooting in hard conditions, sometimes you just got to be happy with the shot you end up with.
