Re: To milloup: Danish churches

Hej Per,
Ja, den er nok en anelse mrkere end den normale rde flag-farve. Jeg har kun set den fra bussen, n蚌 jeg har v誡et i Kbh via ナrhus-Odden, og den ligger nok halvvejs inde ad Odden (fr Vig,...

To hojper: James who?

Sorry, I'm not even capable of listing 3-4 James Bond titles and have never seen a single one, so I think I'll pass this one over.. ;-))

To PDP: Getting close

Hi Paul,
This darter was just out of its larvae shell a few hours before, and the wings weren't yet hardened sufficiently for it to fly away. That's why I could get so close. You could have shoved...

Re: To milloup: Answer

Hi Bill,
That sounds like quite a task you've set yourself, but once done it's a great ressource for other genealogists ;-))
I checked a few, and there seem to be many from the 1800s....

To phi729: Fuzzy Gosling

Hi Philippe,
Yes, his look says "watch out", doesn't it ;-)
That's why I figured out the sibling behind must be telling him nasty tales of some sort ;-))
Best wishes,

Re: Possible TE Exhibition - Italy

Ettore,
Would you be able to give a max. size in pixels?
Photos for TE are max. 800 pixels wide, and I understand these are too small. What can your gear show? 2000 pixels wide? 2500? 3000? For me...

Re: To milloup: Thank's for the info

You're welcome ;-) I didn't know about this until recently either, but seeing a few "motly" looking males around our pond I started wondering and decided to find out.

To AdrianW: Got my files back ;-)

Hi Adrian,
Thanks for the comment. I can't remember whether the butterfly was moving when the shot was taken, but it may well be a case of slightly outside focus range. I selected the wingtip and...

To explomars: Not necessarily females

Hi Phil,
With ducklings as young as these you cannot be sure that they are all female, as males and females look the same at this stage. It's only later that the males get the distinctive green...

Re: To milloup: Thanks !

Well, if you just got the lens, it's early days yet and you've all summer for practicing ;-))
For this one you were down to 1/80 shutter speed, which is getting pretty close to what you can expect...

Re: To milloup: Deep

Thanks Rinie,
I had a feeling they couldn't be very deep, but 1.5 meters is still up to my nose, so I think I'll stay on dry ground ;-))
Best wishes,

Bente

Re: To Burnham: "hair" or fishing line?

But he still had my undivided attention for a good while there, though ;-))
Anyway, what Robert suggested about the hair being nesting material, this sounds reasonable enough, as they are breeding...

To Burnham: "hair" or fishing line?

Hi Line,
I'd noticed too that something seems to be attached to this little chap, but I don't know what. A piece of fishing line, perhaps? He may have gotten entangled in some thread while diving...

Re: To milloup: You're not alone...

Interesting to see those giant redwoods ;-) I haven't been to the USA, but I've seen stringy barks and Huon pines in Australia, and they're quite tall, too.
Glad to hear these ferns are likely to be...

Re: To milloup: burial place

Hi Raffaele,
These burial mounds can be found in many parts of Denmark, and - as far as I know - all those that have survived to this day are now protected.
Earlier, noone paid much attention to...

Re: To milloup: graa himmel og solskin

Re: To milloup: fodtj... ;o)
