Great Bruno40 2007-08-14 21:16

Hi Lucie,
I love your photo for two reasons:
a) the sharpness and colours are great, together with a good composition and POV.
b) you took this photo with the gear I am planning to upgrade to (400D and Sigma 18-200), so I am happy to see the results of this equipment.
In the same way, I want to ask you if that vertical distortion we can see at the left happens often when shooting at 18mm, and how can be corrected (if you know)
TFS
Jorge

Hi Jorge,

Thanks for kind words on my photo.

As for the gear - I am really happy with both 400D and Sigma 18-200, however if I'd chose now I'd go for new Tamron 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II Macro that gives you even bigger zoom.

AS for the vertical distortion - that comes with any wide angle lens, no help there.

All the best.
Lucie

Hi Lucie,
Thanks for your reply to my query.
I also appreciate your advice on Tamron. I will check availability and price (limited budget :-( ) and reviews.
While researching for Sigma or Tonika (12-24) I read about a software called ShiftN, have you heard about it?
cheers
Jorge
