Great emka 2018-12-08 23:29

Hello Marie Louise, Original view of the St. Peter's Dome from far away. Are the smaller domes renovated? It looks like scaffolding. The antennas are a bit disturbing the view. You have a very good zoom that it is so sharp from 3 km away. I do not know what it could be on the left. MAybe later I will try to find out. Excellent picture.

KInd regards MAlgo

Default To emka: Renovation

Thanks for your visit Malgo !
You have a good eye !
Indeed, the smaller cupolas are covered in scaffoldings and the edifice underneath is protected by white canvas. So they must be renovating them as is usual with all these old masterpieces.
This time, I didn't go to the Vatican during my stay in Rome. I was just intrigued by this huge cupola which you could see from just about everywhere, a bit like the Eiffel Tower in Paris !
