Great CliffW 2005-06-17 20:17

This has such an unsual feel to it. A little posterized, which I like in this case. I appreciate the chances that you took with the more unorthodox approach. The star is the car but I do like the "I told you so" expression I am imagining the donkey having. Well done Bala.

Thanks for visit clif. I am just wondering what is the 'unorthodox approach' here?? ;-)) I would really appreciate if you tell me :-)As nobody really mentionned it in their comments. It is always nice tpo know which rules I have broken!

Hi Bala, no rules broken that I know of. For me, unorthodox is a GOOD thing! What I meant was more in 2 things. First, your cropping for a close portrait style when most people I think would have put the whole car and donkey in. I probably would have too, but sometimes you don't know what you like until you see it. I like your way better.

Second, it was the strong flattened colors such as the green-yellow in the car and the uniform dark color of the donkey. That's what I meant by "posterized". For instance, the shadow in the wheel well is a strong shadow, not a faint one. Since it's a strong composition, I think those colors stand up very well here and you did a very good job of translating what you saw to an excellent photo (and funny as well).
