Day VIII

Ghat was the gate to enter Libya, straight from Europe.
Gaht was the gate to reach Europe, straight from Libya too.

This is the last post about this week in Sahara.

I wish you can imagine how strong is the peace of the desert, how wonderful are its colors...

je suis d'accord avec toi sur la s駻駭it� du d駸ert et sa beaut�, j'ai fait la tunisie dans le chott el djerrid mais en 4x4 et la je le ferai a pied dans l'akakous, et la tu as le temps d'appr馗ier, sur cette photo le ciel est impressionnant de couleur, et la porte est ferm馥 comme si tu devais rester la bas...

c'est simple mais beau, les couches de couleurs intenses se superposent bien.
le bleu du ciel est tellement fort, il a tant de caract鑽e.

Hi Stephane, An interesting gate picture to show the different color of the old wall with the new filled up. Nice contrast of the adobe colors with the beautiful blue sky. A good composition and nicely taken picture.

St駱hane c'est le genre de photos qui me font craquer c'est pourquoi j'ai fait le th鑪e "Minimalism" et je l'y ai incorpor馥. La porte mur馥 c'est tout un symbole. J'aime les couleurs qui s'opposent au bleu fonc� du ciel.

quel chance que tu a de pouvoir visiter la libye, c'est un tr駸 beau pays d'apr駸 ce que j'en sais , j'aime beaucoups cette photo,le mur et la porte peuvent cacher tout un univers riche en secrets, sa donne envie de sauter de l'autre cot�.

Hi Stephane,
The symbolism of your shot is well evidenced by your note. I like the simplicity but drama of the scene. The walled up doorway creates an impression of closure to the outside world. Superb contrasting blue sky with sublime hues of brown, beige and tan. The little crenellated rampart to the right with the silhouette of a man is enhancing. Well captured.

Seems like a minimalist approach to this photo ... but I like the simplicity in this one.
I find the wires on top a bit distracnting but the colours and depthness in this photo are fantastic

Hi Stephane. I like 'minimalist' compositions like this when there is striking contrast in colours and interesting textures to look at, as you have here. Your composition is very good (it feels balanced) and sharpness is excellent. I would have cloned out those wires though - it would have been a little time-consuming but not too difficult. je l'avais loup� celle-ci quand tu l'as post� et je suis content de mettre un commentaire aujourd'hui. Elle me plait beaucoup cette photo car le c� graphique (et oui encore lui !) est excellent. Ajout� � cela, tu as mis des couleurs tr鑚 dynamiques et c'est pour cela que je trouve cette compo superbe.

Yo Stephane!

Great colours and texture once again! I like the 2D feeling in the foreground with the use of the well but think there is another dimension added with such vibrant colours in the sky.
