Photographer's Note

Essaouira's souks and back streets are really exciting and colorful for a photographer. When I saw this arch leading to a small street, I thought " How nice it would be if someone showed up ? " And the miracle happened, a door opened and this man came out and jumped into my field of view. Of course because of the dark area of the arch I had to underexpose as much as one stop.

Hello Izzet,

your picture of the arches and man is excellent. I am glad you waited for someone to come out otherwise the picture would had some emptiness.

Izzet, j'admire dans cette photo la bonne gestion de la lumi鑽e alors qu'elle a 騁� faite dans l'urgence. Les courbes et les couleurs en font un autre sujet d'admiration.

Another good example of natural/contextual framing, Izzet. An enchanting view into this colorful backstreet, and well done waiting for someone to pass by and bring life to the scene. I like all the rich textures and materials present in this photo.

Excellent shot of this colourful backstreet. You're right, it wouldn't have been as good without anyone on the street; he provides an element of life and makes a good focal point for the image. I sort of wish that you hadn't chopped his feet off, but I can see that you were relying on your quick reactions here, so I can't really argue.

Patience always pays off. I like this beautiful arched alley, and this man which is walking in the shadow give us some idea about the heat. Colors are amazing. IMO you cropped it (or took it) a bit too low. I think that a sqaure format or a vertical format could be better.
But still, I like it very much.
