Photographer's Note

An evening stroll through the rabbit warren of souks and alleys in Chefchaouen revealed this scene. I have also loaded a workshop showing a mural I spotted.

Hello Chris,
The pile of straw baskets make an excellent focal point and lend depth and perspective to the composition. The cool blue tones give the scene a rather eerie feeling.

this city is next on my list of countries I wish to see, well, maybe not next, but very soon indeed. I'll be going to Russia in 2019 and hopefully Belgium. So many countries to visit! This city must be a photographers paradise. I'm sure you have many many more. Hope to see them if you have them. Too bad there isn't a person for a better focal point, but thats not your fault. I like looking at the walls, especially that door, even the door is FULLY covered in blue. I wonder what the history or meaning of the blue is. thanks for the inspiration. cheers

A fantastic artistic composition in blue. Worth a performance for Picaso's blue period. The brightly lit yellow baskets and the soft floodlight on the steps give a great contrast to the beautiful blue tones.
