Photographer's Note

One of the things that I love about Africa is the pace -- far more relaxed than in the West. Although cars are common enough, here you can see one of the preferred modes of public transport: bicycle taxis ridden by "boda-boda men."

This shot was taken in Jinja, a small city about an hour and half north of Kampala (the capital). Jinja is a bit of a tourist destination because it lays beside the source of the Nile, where Lake Victoria empties into the Nile.

I took this shot in color and converted it to black & white. I debated for a while on which I preferred. I'll post the color version as workshop. I'd be interested in comments on which is more effective.
