Photographer's Note

I remember that I had to climb a lot of steps to go and see this huge Nandi Bull, one of the most famous I ever saw.
There were many people worshipping him, and I took a rest there waiting to continue climbing the hill to reach the temple up there.

This is what I remember of my six years ago tour. Let's see some more detailed informations:

Chamundi Hill is one of the landmark tourist attractions of Mysore.
This collossal Nandi is on the 800th step on the hill. It is over 15 feet high, and 24 feet long. It was created during the reign of Dodda Devaraja, who also built the steps leading up the hill.
Nandi is the vahana (Vehicle) of Lord Shiva.

The top of the hill has a few attractions - the Mahishasura Statue, the Chamundeswari Temple, and a few other temples nearby. T
