Photographer's Note

An early morning walk about in Batutumonga village in Tanatoraja, South Sulawasi province, when I spotted a lone farmer tending her farm. I was fascinated by her features shaded by the traditional headdress and for a moment she was distracted and this helps a great deal, long enough for me to focus on her eyes. That was my moment to push the camera button at the end of a 300mm zoom.

Indeed a peaceful rural place and such an entertaining experience as well to just explore thru or to people watch and shoot. This may not be the most pleasant of facial features but just love to record that split
second moment.

Setting: 300 mm, 1/500 sec, F5.6, ISO Raw 200, 0753 hrs

A superb head and shoulders portrait, with excellent use of a shallow dof and good sharpness on the woman's face. Good to have some reflections in both eyes too. Tfs!
