Photographer's Note
This panorama overlooks the village of Manang and the Manang valley. It was taken on a walk up to a monastery above the village at around 3,800m. Manang at 3,519m is situated in the broad valley of the Marshyangdi River to the north of the Annapurna mountain range and is a popular rest point and acclimatisation day for those doing the Annapurna circuit. You can see Annapurna III In the background. To the west, the 5,416-metre (17,769 ft) Thorong La pass leads to Muktinath shrine and the valley of the Gandaki River. Manang is and was an important trading area of Nepal.

What a beatiful landscape ... I see beauty in its simplicity. The colors are amazing and mountain formations very pleasant visually. I really appreciate all the hard work (walk up) you’ve done.
Cheers, Alex.
