Photographer's Note
The title of this upload is the first part of a popular saying about Nepal.
I dedicate this image to Piotr because he keeps encouraging me to post photos from Nepal. And he likes mountains. And also because he is thinking of doing a trek in the Himalaya.
I知 planning my big trip 吐or the mountains for 2019. My first trip to Nepal, however, was for the architecture of the Kathmandu Valley. But then I was so taken by the Nepali people that I didn稚 really get to photograph the buildings - all those temples and palaces, many of which, four months later, were non-existent.
This image was taken at sunset near the village of Nagarkot. I travelled to Nagarkot from Bhaktapur that very morning, on a local bus, where I met a young man on his way back from Singapore to his family home in the village of Sudal, not far from Nagarkot. His name is Ramesh and I have posted one of his photos in WS to my earlier upload. He helped me find a cheap hotel that offered the only thing I was dreaming of at the time hot water. And that is where the story of my second trip to Nepal begins
The second part of that saying goes: 土ou come back for the people. I went back to Nepal in 2016 to see the people, like Ramesh, I had met in 2014. And to check how they were doing after the earthquake.
Two more shots in WS
Sorry, Craig. But I PROMISE that, in a few weeks, I値l post photos from all my trips to Japan. In the meatime there are a couple of them here. :-)

Czesc Kasiu,
Wlasnie koncze przygotowania do takiego przegladu diaporam i beda tam nepalskie klimaty, ktore przyslal nam treker z Francji. Konkretnie dolina Mustang, co moze sie okazac tez celem wyjazdu do tego kraju:)
Swietna prezentacja - jeszcze raz dziekuje
Piotr

Hi Kasia
That's something you don't get to see every day!!
A fantastic image and a magical moment one can only sit back and dream of such a location. The sun-kissed snowy peaks look like gold nuggets and amazing how you have managed to play with the glorious light.
I should say it is a well timed shot with perfect composition. Gorgeous capture, Congrats.
Warm regards

Hello Kasia
The cloud seems to compete with the snowy peak to become the highest mountain in this country.
You were rewarded to wake up early to catchthe first ray of light
Have a nice WE

Hello Kasia,
Obviously one doesn't have to go right up to the mountains in Nepal to get great views of them. But what can I say about this photo, other than that the colours and light are beautiful and that it's perfectly exposed? But I say that all the time. The clouds are just as stunning as the mountains. As usual both workshop photos would have made fine main uploads for anyone else.
Have a nice Easter.

Hello Kasia,
Your main picture is beautiful of colour, real a beauty.
But your WS picture with the village is wonderful too.
You chose a nice angle and an excellent nature image.
Sharpness and clarity are superb.
Very well done, TFS.

Czesc Kasiu,
This was a frequent sight from the rooftop terraces of Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur & Nagarkot as depicted here. I would often just sip Nepalese tea with a cinnamon stick and just kick back & enjoy the tremendous sunset views. Tfs!

Hi Kasia
haha, no worries. I know what its like after returning from a trip, it takes time to sort through, photoshop them etc...
in the mean time we can still enjoy these shots too.
I have no idea what Piotr wrote, as I can't read that language haha, but i'm sure he enjoys this.
having never been here, i wonder if these types of scenes are readily available in many parts of the country. looks great to me, a lot of warm tones in the cold environment.
cheers
Craig

Hello Kasia
Fascinating to see these three totally different approaches to this mountain. Of course, the bright sunset shows the most spectacular but the other two photos do little for it.
In short, a beautiful presentation.
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Hello Kasia,
Sorry that I perused your postings back to front but I had to see this, after reading about 'meeting the people'.
The mountains are magnificent at most times but with the inclusion of the light from the low sun, they look polished! I like how the floating clouds appear to escaping from the top of the mountains.
Your w/s add to the understanding of the location.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Pozdrawiam
MAłgorzata
