Outstanding shot, Greg - and a perfect title for it. The bright umbrellas light up the center, and the barely visible unfinished hotel that dominates Pyongyang's skyline is just barely visible here, grounding the shot in a specific place. Wonderful work.

Don't see a lot of photos from North Korea. This is really nice, with everything but the umbrellas being largely gray. Good choice of vertical format to emphasize the distance in the shot. Thanks.

Hi Greg,
I like this little huddle and the rainy weather adds another dimension to the sight seeing trio. The yellow and blue stand out nicely against the almost monochromatic rest of the scene., and they are well placed slightly off centre in the composition.

Hello Greg,
a symbolic capture, as far as I can see. Pictures from North Corea don't appear in public very often. But look at their umbrellas: did you notice that they have as much as 16 spokes? In Europe, the old good pocket umbrellas have got 10, the normal ones 8 and the cheap ones 6. What about making them export umbrellas instead of war?

Hi Greg
Interested to see Pyongyang on a cloudy and rainy August day. When I visited in October, DPRK was sunny for the whole of two weeks except for the day when I was flying away which reflected my mood.
You conveyed a sense of mystery in this image. Ryugyong Hotel growing out of the clouds looks like a lonely sail of a ghost yacht. What really makes it is of course the three umbrellas.
