what a strong entrance to te from the most enigmatic country in the world! the gesture tells it all.. all the more "current" in light of recent events.. makes one really wonder what was on his mind.. a world press class photo, just excellent... a warm welcome, looking forward to more!

This is a very strong photo for me. Once I was such a soldier and once I would give anything not to be where I was. This picture is putting a human face on soldiers, who are tools of this oppressive regime. Congratulations!

Your superb picture can be interpreted in so many ways. This soldier might be only wiping off his sweat but your composition makes me think of a poor soldier thinking about his destiny. The wall also makes me think of jail bars!

Hi Natalie,

Great timing on this one. It's a good thing the guy is hiding his face at this moment, as he wouldn't want his dear leader to know who he is. Exhasperation is what comes to mind, and I'd say that it's quite relevant to the case of North Korea, who's people live under one of the most ruthless despotic regimes still around today. Great stuff!
