Photographer's Note

In Vietnam many of the daily life scenes one will capture is on the water. It was most impressive for me to see how much this form of life means to Vietnamese people. They make their living on the water by fishing or trading or they just move from one village to another by boat. This lady was fishing on the river in Kenh Ga. It was a cold day and there was a harsh wind. While I was almost freezing, the local people just continued their daily chores barefoot and with light clothes. When we think that we have a difficult life, we should reflect on some of these scenes and realise that we have much more in life than we actually deserve. We should jump over these traps of life.
