Photographer's Note

after a day trip to Cat Ba National Park we returned to a small city on Cat Ba Island. Cat Ba Island is the biggest island in famous Halong Bay, which due to its rock formations on the water is on the UNESCO list of the world heritage.
and there was a bunch of kids at the pier wandering around and trying to sell postcards and other stuff to tourists. And this boy was really nasty, such a pushy kid...
-hello, buy a postcard!
-no, thank you
-buy a postcard!
-no, thanks, I don't want to buy any postcards
-but you HAVE TO buy!
-no, I don't have to buy. and I don't like postcards
-so why are you taking pictures?
-it is different.
-no, it is the same. buy postcards from me.
-no, I don't want to buy. I don't have money.
-so why do you travel? how did you buy an airticket to Vietnam if you don't have money... and how did you get your camera if you don't have money?
-oh man! I don't want your postcards....!

and so on for at least half an hour...

I was really tired of him, I was just waiting for the sunset at the pier, taking pictures around. and later this kid started disturbing me, waving his hand in front of my camera, still saying that I have to buy his postcards. I said, ok, you don't want me to take pictures of the sunset, so I'll be taking pictures of you.

and that's the one I like te most - he and his postcards

in fact I was pretending I want to take pictures of the sunset.. I was there for those kids...

Original shot, PS - sharpening after resizing, auto-levels, contrast a bit.
