Photographer's Note

After the walk in the Monteverde Cloud Forest we visited the hummingbird garden, which is part of the Biological Reserve. For details of the Reserve please follow the link above.
Taking pictures of hummingbirds is possibly the most difficult subject I have taken. I lost count of the shots I took and deleted as all I had taken was empty space as they move so quickly. Of the hundred or so left on the card there were four which were fairly OK. I then narrowed it down to two. I usually use auto-focus as I'm not that confident of my eyesight, but here I used manual focus and pre-focused on the feeder and then waited. I'm still not sure I made the right choice but the other is in the WS so maybe you can let me know which you think is the best. The reason I chose this as the main post is the colour and the more neutral background. Both shots have been cropped so I have posted with smaller size than usual.
