Photographer's Note

This fine old mill situated near by the castle Egeskov (I will show more on a later photo) Today was a special day, hence the flags after at lot of work, problems and money is the mill as good as new after a larger restoration Ok theres still a little problem it cant grind corn but that a lesser problem actually was the work done for almost a year ago but it turned out that the wings couldnt turn around and that was a problem.

Theres been a mill here for at least 250 years but in 1848 was the first corner stones laid for this particular construction (a Dutch mill) in 1952 became Egeskov mill famous as it was used for the new Danish 10 kroner note kind of ironical because at the same time was the mill bankrupt and was sold for 10 kroner ;-)

It cant be seen on this shot but behind the mill there was a tent with music and beer, a lot of important people was invited, for instance a minister and two mayors a lot of speaks and informative words. Please watch the extra photo of the opening ceremony.

I noticed that my (fellow-) countryman Jrgen Mller got a mission of showing Danish mills so this one for him.
But perhaps the reason Mller = Miller in English :-)
