Photographer's Note

Mohammad inspired me to post this photo, which I took, at the open air museum The Funen village in the start of august.

When the corn should be harvest some 150 years ago, was it done by themes of two farmhands and one maid.
The first man where using a scythe, the second was gathering the crops and finally came the maid and tied a sheaf where the wire was self made of straw (what she's doing in the photo). Such a team was expected to harvest about 5000m2 corn on a day (if my memory serves me well)

This young girl was still learning, but she was doing well, said the men. It was a hot day (watch the colour at her face) but even they where standing in the shadow, was it impossible for me to get the white clothes right I guess it痴 of the same type, used when advertising for washing powder ;-))

There痴 a second pose-shot here.
