Photographer's Note

Here is yet another photo from my favorite museum, the Frilands museum in Lyngby. It is filled with authentic country homes that have been painstakingly moved from their original settings in Denmark to be placed in the open air museum in Lyngby. This is supposedly the world's oldest museum of its type founded around the turn of the 20th century.

This particular house is from the late 18th century (I think). These doors are to the stall and the work area. The window to the right is part of the house itself. This particular house sits at the main entrance to the museum and gives the visitor a feel for life in that time period - with a tiny room devoted to the hearth and the house smelling of earth. Hope this makes you want to visit! - admission is free
