Photographer's Note

Recent Lars photos from his trip to Northern Germany encouraged me to go back again to my archives.

Lubeck is proud of two Nobel Prize winners in literature. One of them being Thomas Mann, who was born there. Buddenbrooks was the first and possibly one of the most popular novels by Thomas Mann, this was the title which was mentioned in the Nobel Prize award he received later. Buddenbrooks was a story about a family who was fictional yet coincidentally resembled his own family members. In fact, concrete names were assigned to each person in the book. That didn稚 make him very popular in family circles.

Buddenbrooks House (in this photo) is Thomas Mann's family house, presently museum dedicated to the author.

What I found personally interesting about his life was that he lived in Lubeck, Los Angeles and Munich, same places I had a pleasure to live in for couple of years each.
