Photographer's Note
In the period March, April and May the bulb fields are in full bloom. First the narscissus then the hyacinths and tulips. Peak tulip bloom time is weather dependent. Typically April 25 - May 5 is the absolute peak period for viewing tulip fields and gardens. Some years; however, the peak tulip period falls slightly earlier or later.
Visitors to Holland will find the months of April & May to be highly colorful in any year, with different flowers blooming successfully throughout the entire period. There are several walking, cycling and car routes throughout the area.
This is picture of one of 1.000 different types of tulips you can find on countless fields in tulip area. It is real pleasure for any nature photographer.

Spectacular colors indeed Lucie. I love the way the petals are rising up like that. The shadows work perfectly here.

I am not at all into macro-photographie, but this one picture is really nice. And then, of course, it is so caracteristic for the place (Holland) it was taken. Well done, Mike
