Photographer's Note

Lodz (Polnish: Łdź) is Poland's third largest city located almost in the center of the country. The city has a population of about 680,000, it is a historic industrial city, currently a university city and the seat of the authorities of the Lodz Voivodeship.
In the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, Lodz was a big and significant center of the textile industry, that is why in the city center we can see many tenements, villas and palaces formerly owned by Lodz industrialists, but also many modern high-rise buildings.

In my photo you can see the modern railway station Łdź Fabryczna originally built in 1865.
In 2012 the station was demolished to build a new station with modern devices, the facade of the old station building has been incorporated into the new building and is visible inside the station hall.
