Photographer's Note

Castle of San Pedro de Jaca, popularly Known as Jaca Citadel is a military fortress built in the sixteenth century. It has the consideration of cultural interest monument. This pentagonal fortification was built in the late sixteenth century (the works began in 1592). It preserves the septic tank, bastions, escarpments, barracks, powder magazines, tunnels plus a beautiful entrance via a drawbridge.
Its construction was entrusted to italian engineer Tiburcio Spannocchi.
