Photographer's Note

Hello Everyone,

Today is Mother's Day in the U.K. which explains my lateness in posting! I have been really indulged by my children (not so small now); an amazing meal at a local pub, last night and a delicious, full cooked breakfast, this morning! What a great start to the week!!

I think, I might need to so some strenuous exercise soon!!!

My photograph shows the after effects of the heavy snowfall in Cumbria. We had gone for a walk along the banks of the River Lune and quickly understood the effects of the snow melt. The river had risen much above its normal height and I'm sure it will get much higher, yet.
Though I wanted to show the post wintery conditions, I didI try to make the scene as artistic as possible, using the overhanging branches in the f/g and the evidence of the remaining snow in the b/g.

I will add a couple of w/s here and here to show the result of the snow melt on the fields! Snow does look beautiful but it brings many consequences with it!

I hope you are having an excellent Sunday, too, Bev :-)
