Photographer's Note

Morecambe Bay is a small English town on the Northwestern coast of the island. It used to be a bit tourist resort, before the English discovered the Mediterranean. Now its a slightly crumbling old town, without as many tourists as it would like.

The bay itself is tidal: I took this photograph of the boats when the tide was out, and all the boats, freshly painted for the summer, were beached. There was something eerie about the composition - you can see the hills of the Lake District in the background, but the foreground was quiet & desolate.
