1 0 0 0: Radcliffe Camera

It痴 time for my 1000th post (and it will be the last from Oxford for the time being, there are photos from other trips still in the waiting room). It shows one of the best-known buildings in Oxford: Radcliffe Camera, also part of Oxford University. It was built between 1737 and 1749 and designed by James Gibbs to house the Radcliffe Science Library. Radcliffe Camera is now used as additional reading rooms for the Bodleian Library (whose main building is located on the other side of the Radcliffe Camera).

The photo was taken from the tower of Church of St Mary the Virgin, from which I also took the photo of All Souls College, which is located to the right. Also the tower of the Sheldonian Theatre is seen in the backdrop.
