I've decided to do a travelogue about how to visit Baja California Sur & avoid the worst of the development & tourist frenzy. With supermercado & local caf prices 25% higher than San Diego; Yahoo Travel Zoo痴 all-inclusive rate of $50/day for TWO, including alcoholic beverages & tips, was amazing. Located beside the Estero de San Jose del Cabo, the El Presidente, caters to Canadian tourists. At first, it痴 quite relaxing to be relieved of all money decisions. Then we were off; first to San Pedrito Surf Hotel on the Pacific side of El Cabo then to Cabo Pulmo on the Sea of Cortez.

In addition to its location by the Estuary, the Presidente grounds feature extensive and well-maintained cactus gardens with signs identifying their Spanish names. I've posted a close-up of the flower in the WS.

The all-inclusive meal plan was organized a bit like a cruise ship with a main restaurant and several other eateries; although the main restaurant, Napa, featured a wide array of fresh fruits and vegetables and the tables were smaller. Each night, at least one of the restaurants could be booked for formal service. The steak restaurant, La Terraza, was pretty good, the Mexican restaurant, El Patio, was terrible.
