Photographer's Note

Taken during my little ramble last week to see the Falls of Clyde at New Lanark, this was a view which caught my eye - the little old iron gate which led through to a long leaf-strewn track through an avenue of trees.

Curiously autumn appears to be coming a bit later than usual, or at least it is judging by the colours of our trees. There's still quite a lot of green around although there are some brown fallen ones. Having said that, temperatures are dropping quickly and we had sleet today, so winter might come before autumn gets started!

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE9.
