From the outer hallway, above the door that leads to the City Mayor's Office, you will find this original clock sorrounded by intricate Rennaisance design framed by a bas reliefed corinthian square columns and capitals. Above it is a classical entablature with the name of the mayor. James Rolph Jr. is the San Francisco Mayor who built the city hall. James Rolph, Jr. (August 23, 1869 � June 2, 1934) was a U.S. politician and a member of the Republican Party. He served one term as the 27th Governor of California from January 6, 1931 until his death.
