Mackinac Bridge

I continue my journey, that I made last month, with this picture of Mackinac Bridge, that we crossed on our way from Ottawa to Chicago. The bridge is here seen from the beach near Mackinaw City, Michigan.

Mackinac Bridge, nicknamed Mighty Mac or Big Mac, opened in 1957 and spanning the Straits of Mackinac, the waterway between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan, it connects the Lower and Upper Peninsula of the U.S. State of Michigan. The 26,372 foot (8,038m) long bridge is the 16th-longest suspension bridge in the world. The height of the towers above water is 552ft/168m.
