Photographer's Note

A fox squirrel which just got a treat and scurried up a tree. It actually just finished begging (it was on a fence near a walkway with many pedestrians passing by) and when someone gave him a piece candy, it quickly went up this tree and paused just enough for me to take several pictures.

The wind was blowing from its back, that's why its tail is closely applied to his body.

Fox squirrels are one of those squirrels common throughout Illinois. It is named for its rufous-colored fur. Fox squirrels are large tree squirrels.

It's difficult to take pictures of these animals are they are always moving about. You need to have your zoom lens or a long lens ready. This was taken with the zoom lens at full extension ... and in Photoshop, went through cropping, autolevels, unsharp mask and framing.
