Again the great, great time of late afternoon in American South West desert. A moment in Joshua Tree National part hiking free through this magnificent boulder-land.....

Aperture priority, matrix metering. Scanned by Nikon CoolScan IV-ED. A mask of blue portions of the sky (Magic Wand tool, feathered 20 pix, average) blurred Gaussian blur, 2 pix radius at 4.000 pix width. A mask of white portion of the sky (Magic Wand tool, feathered 20 pix, average) sharpened using Unsharp mask, level 73%, 8 pix radius at 4.000 pix width; picture resampled to 800 pix width; sky mask inverted and expanded 2 pix (to include the edge rocks/sky into sharpening process of the rocks). Rocks sharpened using Unsharp mask level 55%, radius 2pix. JPEG level 35 (Corel notation).
