Photographer's Note

Here we can see a lower area with pastures and houses. The grass was burned by the frosts. The native trees ahead are with no leaves because it was the end of the winter and they were waiting the springtime, when heat and humidity are increased. At right you can see some young araucarias, at this age they looks like Canadian or north-European pines, with a triangular shape. In the far BG you can see a small forest with some old araucarias. They grows like an arrow in the middle of the forest and after they are higher than the other trees they create long horizontal branches, like umbrellas.
That dead tree in FG is covered with red bromeliads in flower.

grandes e velhas arauc疵ias.
