Veteran resident of Chalaco, a photo from Piura, North

Photographer's Note

Chalaco is a village located in the mountains of Piura, in northern Peru.
Some years ago we conducted a research in that town, and as an amateur photographer had a small digital camera on hand and I could get this shot of one of the more veteran residents of this town.

Hello Guillermo,

It is a pleasure to see one of your photos on Trekearth finally. It is a superb portrait the elderly resident of the Peruvian Village, Chalaco. The vertical centerline (bisector) goes right through the man's right eye, as in some of the most successful portraits painted through the ages. There is a studio-like setting to the lighting and the background. I am glad to see that you have kept alive the genes of your famous ancestor, the photographer who introduced us to Machu Pichu.

Yo hubiera preferido una imagen en vertical. de esa forma se pierde mucho espacio por el lado izquierdo. un efecto dragan tambien hubiese sido interesante.
