Photographer's Note

Twilight at Millennium Park, Chicago

I caught this photographer with a beautiful backdrop - The Cloud Gate sculpture at Chicago's Millennium Park. This sculpture, which is becoming to be a favorite subject of TrekEarthers visiting Chicago, is a public installation designed by the celebrated British sculptor, Anish Kapoor. It's an interactive work of art, you can look at yourself in its metallic surface, go under it, touch it, or marvel at the city or sky reflected on it. That's why Kapoor called it Cloud Gate - because the sky is brilliantly reflected on it. He named it as such only when the installation was basically finished. But Chicagoans like to call it "The Bean," reports say, much to the consternation of the artist.

But rightly so, don't you think?
