Photographer's Note

Last night (March 18) at the anti-war protest more than 7,000 marched along the upscale N. Michigan Ave. in Chicago 妬n an anti-war pageant to lambaste the war and demand an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops according to the Chicago Tribune. The Tribune further added, 典he rally came on the third anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and capped three increasingly fitful years during which polls have shown falling public support for the war.

It was a great protest march harkening back to the protest movement of the 60s and the 70s - grassroots level organization but with floats and marching bands and people and children from all walks of life (mostly white though) and a few hecklers and war supporters on the sidewalk.
