Photographer's Note

Down at the docks, Chicago River

52,000 vessels pass through the Chicago River each year, including commercial, recreational and passenger boats. So naturally, dock hands and dock workers are always working on something on the river especially at summer time. A group of workers were working on a scaffolding and tarps two years ago, I caught this man on a smoke break. Nothing special.

Converted to b/w, played around with contrast, burn tool and grain.
