Two Chimneys Photo

Photographer's Note

Usually it is not my habit to post pictures with scripts underneath. But this is a preparation for a poster depicting the famous Casa Mil� in Barcelona and I wanted to share it with TE viewers. Two very austere looking chimneys of the famous roof, but in the afternoon one is in the shade and creates a contrast with one big one in the back.

Gaudi's work is very creative, but make a good shot about his work must be creative too.
And you are as also your photos.
I am sure that the poster will be really nice.

Hi Izzet,

extremnely stylish work. Almost minimal infact. The superimposition of these contrasting dark and light figures works so well.

Clever framing, Izzet, again you make the Gaud�-esque rooftop structures appear like human silhouettes having a conversation. The angle is very nicely chosen to play on the graphical aspect in a minimalistic, yet effective way. I don't mind the black frame; in fact it seems to further boost the impact of this photo. G�m s�rekli arkadaki bacanın �st kısmındaki siyah �genin alt ucu ile, deki bacanın �st sivri ucunun 輟k az da olsa aynı hizada olmamasına takılmakta... Fotoğraf olarak muhteşem (- ellikle  ve arka baca arasındaki kusursuz ışık ve gge farkı-) olan bu 軋lışmaya poster olarak bakınca ilk odaklandığım nokta yine orası... Rahatsız etmesede, i輅mden ikisini aynı hizaya getirmek duygusu ağır basıyor...

Nearly impossible to find a new shot of the famous chimneys but you managed to find one! I would include "Gaud�" in the title. Really great!

Bonjour, Izzet. Tu as tr鑚 bien exploit� le contraste de couleur entre les deux chemin馥s et tu les as plac駸 dans le m麥e axe, ce qui convient tr鑚 bien ici. Excellente lumi鑽e. Le cadre renforce tr鑚 bien les contrastes cr鳬s dans la photo.

Excellent shot! The simplicity of the layout is what gives it impact - the dark shape, seemingly surrounded by the lighter shape behind it, and then the pure blue of the sky. Each of the 3 areas has it's own distinct look, yet they all blend together very well. The white shape appears to be a shadow of the head in the foreground, however, in this case the shadow is light and the subject is dark - an interesting twist. Beautiful!

J'aime celle-ci encore plus que la pr馗馘ente! Le cadrage des deux statues centr馥s l'une par rapport � l'autre est parfait et la lumi鑽e toujours aussi belle. Ton cadre ne me d駻ange pas du tout, au contraire car il met l'image en valeur tout en restant tr鑚 sobre. Ce fera un magnifique poster!

When I saw the thumbnail, I already thought this may be something like a poster on a wall. I think the POV here is fantastic, as it provides such an unusual and symmetrical superposition of the two chimneys, but what makes this photo stand out is the light/shadow conditions, you were really lucky there!

Personellement le cadre ne me derange pas meme s'il reduit la photo car il releve d'une demarche artistique qui ajoute de la valeur, j'aime bien la couleur sombre qui reste sobre et la police de caracteres que tu as choisie.
Pour la photo, ce qui me plait c'est l'angle qui est une bonne recherche de symetrie juste a peine troublee sur la droite et l'opposition des deux cheminees par la differentiation de mise en lumiere ca c'est top !
Quelles seront les dimensions de ce poster ?
