Chicago Harbor Light on Lake Michigan

This lighthouse tower was constructed in 1893 near the mouth of the Chicago River and was moved to the outer breakwater where it is now in 1917. You can see this lighthouse while driving through Lake Shore Drive and when visiting Navy Pier. It is connected to land by a walkway but it is closed to the public. Keepers manned the station until 1979 when the light became automated.
