Jolie rencontre : c'est toujours tr鑚 beau une manta sous l'eau. Tu 騁ais en sortie avec le centre d'Annabella du c�t� du Kuendu beach peut 黎re? j'aime bien leur philosophie de la plong馥 � eux, rien que de la d騁ente.

C'est tr鑚 beau.
Personnellement, j'aurais mieux vu cette photo convertie en NB, histoire de renforcer le c�t� � la fois onirique et m駘ancolique... mais j'ai aussi en t黎e certaines photos de Plossu qui fait peut-黎re que 軋 me biaise vers le Noir et blanc.

J'aime bien celle-l�, tu fais de gestes quotidiens une sc鈩e dramatique. Il y a un c�t� 駱ique � la Sergio Leone, � la fois les mines de cowboys r駸ign駸 et les 馗lairages contrast駸 qui ne montrent pas les yeux du "Clint" khmer feraient penser � "une poign馥 de dollars".

Je reviens sur l'馗lairage mais c'est tr鑚 bon, tu as bien maitris� les ombres et les hautes lumi鑽es, tr鑚 lisibles.

Une photo du wild wild west cambodgien vraiment chouette.

Le bleu roi de la nuit et le jaune orang� du sable font un m駘ange top. j'aime beaucoup celle-l� aussi.

軋 bouge, 軋 p騁ille, c'est chouette... j'aime bien le style "surf photo", pris du bout de la tong, sans l'air d'y 黎re, pour de la photo de rue de nuit. La lumi鑽e bleue fait beaucoup pour l'attractivit� de l'image.

Au d駱art j'ai cru ouvrir une boite de chocolats.
et puis � l'ouverture (bien que selon l'axiome de Gump, on ne sache jamais sur quoi on va tomber) j'ai 騁� un peu d鱸u : process avec un trop gros pinceau, trop contrast�, accentuation � mort.

Joli cadrage, mais � refaire...

Manque plus qu'une bouteille de Brunello, une assiette de tartufo bianco, et c'est un r駸um� parfait de l'art de vivre toscan.

Ah ouais, Lucca, c'est vraiment la ville des v駘os de 7 � 107 ans : on a l'impression que chacun y circule en bicyclette.

Qq visions de Lucca pour moi :
- la porte d'entr馥 de la ville o� qq'un a plac� une modeste rose au dessous du portrait compl鑼ement pass� d'une madonne.
- les v駘os circulant devant le duomo alb穰re.
- Le gris-vert de l'iris d'une beaut� italienne me regardant droit dans les yeux.

J'ai mis mes propres impressions de Toscane ici.

Excellent, the light is... spot on. Even with a studio snoot you couldn't be more accurate on lighting. Love the way you kept so much negative space above him, it's like he's surrounded by a black hole...
Well, maybe that's the truth : NYC is a big black hole that attracts anything that passes by... like stock and bonds for instance... now go and find the money back in a black hole.

Now that I am looking at it, it makes me also think about the light spots for stand comedy actors. How about a joke or two on Madoff.

At first I thought you called Indiana Jones to solve the Israeli-Palestinian problem, hence I thought it was a good idea : Netanyahou & the Hamas will get a good whip on their rear parts, it would be a matter of 2h with the help of Spielberg.

Reading your note, it seems more complicated than that :( ... even with a similar hat, it wouldn't solve the situation.

Anyway, any good will is welcome.

Jan, you are very fortunate to have seen this. Due to my bias for warm (hot would be the appropriate word) climates, it is quite unlikely I will ever see this kind of scenery.

One minor thought : white is highly reflexive and bothers the meter of the camera, I would reckon from the color of the ice and the clouds in the sky, a little too greyish- that you might brighten up the image say 2/3 or even one stop brighter.

Les couleurs d'arri鑽e plan de celle-ci -du ton sur ton- ainsi que la simplicit� g駮m騁rique de la composition en font une photo tout � fait remarquable, paisible et 騅idente � la lecture.

Ah... dommage que tu te soies tromp� de mise au point, sur celle-ci. ce ne sont 騅idemment pas les yeux sur lesquels il faut faire le point mais sur les ongles comme le titre de ta photo le sugg鑽e.

Attention aussi � un sharpening trop puissant qui vient accentuer les hautes lumi鑽es sur les ongles et rendre la peau aussi coupante qu'un rasoir.

Very composed portrait, josh, although it lacks a pinch of onctrats and brightness, but that's really minor and may probably owe to your current monitor if you're uploading from abroad.

And yes I know what it is to try to get photos with a bunch of South easten asia kids around, I remember Monywa countryside in burma, I simply couldn't move surrounded with a riot of kids...

the photo by itself is quite good, and before you upload your two other shots, let me suggest one thing : how about a horizontal flip of this photo, so that the sea comes on the right handside and opens the image to new fronteers beyond the reight handside frame?
try it and maybe you find something else... ;)

Levente, viewed from my part, I'm not too sure you took all the advantage of this scene.
Firstly if I share your love for Tuscany, I don't see here what color brings to the scene which is mostly a play of shapes, as I see it.

I would propose some reframing, and most of all putting into a nice BW version that would enhance the play of geometry and contrast. You said time capsule, why then not encapsulated it in time with a warm BW tone. see my WS....
