Looking at the cloudy sky yesterday was not a day for swimming, even if it had been permitted. But it's a nice view across the water with the fountain in the middle and especially the family of ducks swimming calmly without disturbance.

This is a fine building with an attractive simplicity of architecture. Just as important is its nice location by this garden where a large tree provides pleasant shade. The tree is also essential to the photo for the way you placed it slightly to the side, with its branches spreading across the entire width of the photo.

So many were probably killed at that battle, and for what, when the war was almost over anyway? This view is a strong symbol of the meaninglessness of war, but it's a well taken photo with sharp details and a good exposure.

Both photos show that the house was quite well built, so the settler who prepared for a new life here must have been quite optimistic about his future. What a disappointment when this hard job turned out to have been for nothing. Not even the nice view we see in this photo would have been any solace.

I think the artist captured the attitude of the wolves very well. Ever attentive they are all looking in the same direction where they probably heard something. Apart from this my favorite is the original seed pod cairn in the WS.

The light was a bit difficult but the dramatic setting of this town is obvious. The mountains rise very steeply, just like huge walls surrounding the town. The street and the long lines of parked cars give the photo fine depth.

Hello Silvio, the light from the window illuminates the fountain with all its features very nicely.
The ornamentation is astounding, I can稚 recall seeing a fountain like this, especially inside a room, it must have taken a lot of hard work to make it, then install it.
Someone with a lot of money and power to be able to afford this.

Hello Ian, two interesting pictures. I am surprised to see the stone foundations and a cellar!
What sort of farming would there have been in this region? The settlers would have been totally reliant on a steady source of water, so a drought would have been devastating, hence the abandoned home.
This is a good view with the mountains in the distance.
