Good pboehringer 2008-05-17 9:02

Lopshang,
you have a lot of nice landscape shot in your gallery and your approach is a good one to capture it, but the metering isn't always the best. Take for example the present post. The sky is clearly washed out, overexposed, ... You have several options to improve that. The best option is always in the field, at the place and moment of shooting and for that I recommend you in this case here a ND grad filter with probably three stops. Another possibility is putting your camera on manual and increasing your speed from 1/15 to 1/20 03 even 1/30.
The other option is working on your image on the monitor by doing some layers to burn the sky.

Default To pboehringer: Thank you

Hi Pboehringer

Thank you for your valuable tips. I will keep that on my mind. However i did take this shot in manual mode keeping the aparture and shutter manually set. May be i should have increase the speed the speed or could have used ND grad. On my next shot i will always keep your advice in mind. Hope to get more tips.

Regards,

Lopshang.
