Great RGatward 2008-08-24 9:57

Hi Luko, I hope recover in time to take off somewhere in the winter, though Portugal seems like a pretty nice compromise. I like a lot of elements about this image, the arrangement of people, the attractive wall windows and doors, and the traffic sign. Though I find the shadow a bit sitracting, was there a time whe the whole wall was lit?

Default To RGatward: Light on the wall

Hi Richard,

thanks for your comments but well, this is where our mileage differs.
I like the light and shadow type of pics and therefore thought the interesting part of the wall is pecisely when it is half lit, I was really impressed with how at the time of the day, it split the scene in diagonal halves at the precise position of the arrow sign.

It happens there was light car trafic in the street and I had to wait a few minutes for some interesting characters passing by the wall(I mean other than brits or dutchmen, already drank on cheap port). As soon as I spotted those two very slow women, I stood in the middle of the road and stopped the car traffic to get the scene without any vehicle. Now imagine this frame without the car angrily horning at me...
