Great Davidh34 2007-10-08 1:19

Ah Mark

What is this for a grey Monday morning! Pure porn! not the smutty stuff obviously, but for a Rally fan and sometime photographer, this brings a smile to the face, not to mention other bodily reactions! Perfect tight crop, blur of the crowd, colour, good use of the fill-in too.

Good work my man, certainly cheered me up after yesterdays turgid efforts at Anfield.

Regards

David

Default To Davidh34: Rally

Glad you liked it David. Didn't go to Madeira for the rally, it just happened to be on. Does help having 8.5 frames a second to fire off. You would here the car coming down the street before it turns into this corner, so you prefocus on manual and start panning as soon as it comes into sight. Good fun.
Didn't see the game at Anfield yesterday, was busy getting lost in Epping Forest! I think the press are going to home in on Benitez now Mourhinio has gone. Saw this in todays Times footie section:
What ship hasn't been to Liverpool?
The Premiership. Ha, ha. Mind you, 17 league championships, 5 European cups, FA cups, League cups etc, etc. Not bad is it?

No. Well one I liked but won't use it. Needed something like a Rally car racing through it ;) Seriously, it's one of the better places in London, well for a countryside loving bumpkin like me.

Default Re: To Davidh34: Published!

HI Mark

I had an approach from a publisher to use one of my TE images. It's not a great one, Liverpool cathedral. not sure it's quality is relevent!

Anyway, the book will be a full colour coffee table job, but a trade book for a PLC and therefore not for sale. They've offered the full credit listing and a free copy of the book. My first thought was what about some cash, but a, it's not a great shot and there must be free stock ones of the catheral out there, b, the book isn't being sold, c, I've never been published before.

What to do, I'm tempted to accept, it would be cool, but?????

Depends David. If it was me and it wasn't one of my fav images I would go for it. However, it's best that you ask if you can keep the copyright of your image and that they cannot allow anyone else to use it. Best of luck.

Yeah

Clarified that, it's one publication, and I retain copyright. Think I'll go for it!
