Hi Kath,

Wonderful light and reflection indeed. I love the golden colour of the mountainside and the symmetry is perfect. I guess you could use many more superlatives about this photo. However, it is not as exciting as some as your latest posts such as bringing home the catch, cloud of fire and clouds make a sunset. I believe it is well worth thinking of why those pictures are more exciting perhaps not in terms of weather conditions which you could do no nothing about, but rather in terms of composition. I am a bit curious if you took any more pictures than this one. TFS and have a nice Sunday!

Default To UlfE: composition

Thank Ulf
We didn't have long to scout for different compositions as the sun dropped behind the mountains soon after we arrived. However there was little different I could have done. I do have others with a bush at the other side, but that was in dark shadow. I managed to bring out detail in PP but it looks a bit false. Other than that there was nothing; no foreground rocks, just a muddy edge to the lake. If you look at the map you will see most of it is tree-lined. We just found a small clearing. Given more time maybe we could find a different clearing to see if there were better opportinities
