View from the veranda, a photo from Boa Vista, Barlavento

Photographer's Note

This is my third photo from Praia da Varandinha. This time I climbed to the top of the cliffs to enjoy the view from above. The entrance to the cave from the previous photo is probably nearly under my feet now.

As Jorge confirmed, in Portuguese 砺arandinha� means a little 砺aranda�. The English word 砺eranda� does originate from Portuguese varanda. Eventually in English the word describes 殿 roofed platform along the outside of a house, level with the ground floor�.

Hello Mariusz,
I like the shapes of the rocks here in the foreground and they add a nice contrast with the smooth sand of the beach. The coastline makes a nice diagonal through the middle as well.

Another good one of this rocky backdrop to the beach. The light coloured sand contrasts beautifully with the very green and blue sea.

a nice view using well the textures of these rocks and the seashore and sand ahead. I am trying to visit a place with waters similar with these ones.

Skipped this one for some reason, Mariusz, nonetheless an attractive rocks formation - almost a 3D effect on the photo.
Contrast to the colors of the sea, marvelous clean and neat beach to enjoy the sights.
