Smiling children in Malawi, a photo from Salima, Central

Photographer's Note

They were always smiling.
In the deep bush,where I was living, there was no market, no butchery, almost nothing, only nature.
To feed my family I had a permit to hunt local animals. Each time those very kind children came with me to collect ducks, geese or guinea falws
after shooting
and bring back to me captured birds. In exchange for their "job" I given a coin to help them.

J'adore la photo de ces enfants...ils sont adorables et on des expressions tellement gentilles...voir leur pauvret� fait piti�..et leurs sourires rechauffent le coeur!

Interesting Photo! There are two things about this photo that caught my attention.First, the expression on the little boy's face(bottom left) and the dusty body of the two kids on the right. Good job.

Hello Jean-Louis!

Had a look at your profile and it seems you had a very interesting life - well, guess you still have, but you have been living in remarkable places.

Thanks for the old pictures on Malawi. Not the best quality as scanned prints, but giving a perfect picture of rural Malawi.

I myself have been working a bit in Africa and will probably return over there in the future.
