Lost in the Souks 2, a photo from Marrakech, South

Photographer's Note

As you wander around Marrakech getting lost any side souk is worth a look. At the end of this side onewas a mix of why people love Marrakech - grand doors surrounded by tiles, the colour of the walls, a group of parked motor bikes, interesting street lights and a single store holder with his nearby kettle.

Hello Ian, Another fabulous view of Marrakech. Fantastic door, so beautifully decorated. The parking motorbikes indicate that it is closed. Is it the door to madrasa or the mosque? I would be delighted to be lost there.

Hello Ian,
The motorbikes may seem a bit odd in this environment but they tell us this is not a museum. The gate and the fa軋de above it is fantastic. After a while I also noticed the salesman sitting at the entrance of his shop keeping an eye on you.

Hello Ian,
This doorway is quite magnificent; even the parked bikes do not spoil its evident splendour. It is well framed with the shop fronts either side acting as guide. The shopkeeper sat on the step is well included contributing to the mood. Excellent technical quality. Thanks for sharing.

C'est tout un plaisir de se perdre dans un souk. Cela m'est d駛� arriv� � Tunis . C'騁ait ma premi鑽e journ馥 et je ne me souvenais plus du nom de mon hel. Il y a tellement de choses � voir qu'on ne sait plus o� regarder.

Wonderful architectural decorations of the city gate opposite the craftmanship with which many inhabitants nowadays try to earn a living.
The man most likely hopes that after taking your photo you will visit his shop.

I wonder if the padlocked doors are shut or ajar? The parked motorbikes seem to indicate that the mosque or madrassa is open, and the seller has found a spot where people coming out of daily prayers might grab a quick bite to eat. Tfs!

I'm enjoying your Souk shots, keep them coming. Its odd that you havn't posted these as you took them 10 years ago! What took you so long? haha. Glad you mentioned the kettle, I would have probably missed it otherwise. love the door, what is that made out of?? Doesn't look to touristy here. nice find.
